Even if someone has been declared a defendant, as long as there is no legally binding court decision, refrain from judging them as a criminal, because those who are tried in court are not necessarily convicted (sentenced). Every citizen has the right to equal standing before the law, including suspects/defendants having the right to defend themselves, receive legal aid, and even be judged fairly. The greatest injustice in law is to punish someone who is innocent. This aligns with the legal adage that states “it is better to free a thousand guilty persons than to punish one innocent person.”
